“Before, I lacked confidence in myself, and was unclear on my vision. I felt alone. I felt lost. And as a daughter of an immigrant, I felt a lot of pressure to make my mom proud. But I didn’t feel proud of who I was.
Now, I feel much more confident and in control of my life! I feel worthy, and that I am enough as I am.
I hadn’t realized how feeling seen and heard by people who share similar experiences and feelings can make such a difference. And it helps to know that I am not alone. I am thankful to have met an amazing community of other women of color. And not only can I look to them (and Nicole!) for support, but I now know that I can also trust and look to myself, too. I learned lessons and tools that I will take with me the rest of my life.”
